Quinta traccia di The Human Equation, Day Five: Voices.

Me, nonostante sia in coma, è riuscito a sentire le voci di Moglie e Miglior Amico che discutevano sulla sua salute e si chiedevano se Me avesse visto o sentito qualcosa. Me non sa se queste voci siano reali oppure un’allucinazione, frutto della sua fantasia, e cerca aiuto dalla Ragione.

Giorno Cinque: Voci

[Orgolio] Sento delle voci, stanno parlando di te
Le senti anche tu? Sai cosa significano?
Cerca di ricordare, cosa ti è successo?
Cosa sai, e cosa hai visto?

Riesco a vedere i tuoi pensieri che si mettono in moto
Sono così intensi, li senti anche tu?
Non riesco a credere che sia vero quello che dicono
Tu sei davvero molto forte, non può essere successo a te

[Me] E se stessero dicendo la verità?
Cosa significherebbe?
[Orgolio] Tu ti preoccupi troppo.
[Me] E quali sono le domande che mi posso porre?
Quali mi saranno chiare?
[Orgolio] Già, stai proprio perdendo il tuo tocco
[Me] Dammi una mano, tutto ciò non ha alcun senso.

[Ragione] Chi sono queste voci? Da dove provengono?
Dovremmo cercare di capirle?
Pure illusioni, allucinazioni?
O potrebbero essere vitali, per la nostra salvezza

[Amore] Suonano familiari, devono essere qui per aiutarti
Tutta questa confusione ti sta distruggendo
Devi essere paziente, il tempo è l’unica cura
Apriti e lasciale entrare nel tuo cuore

[Paura] Ho il sospetto che siano colpevoli di qualcosa
Ma penso che tu abbia già capito
Prima avevi paura di vivere, ora hai paura di morire

Stai ingannando te stesso
